Canada Post strike impacting mail delivery – please use online options to pay your bill
Payments are still due despite strike
Due to the Canada Post strike, mail delivery is halted. This will impact the delivery of utility bills, ambulance invoices, general trade invoices and property tax reminders during this period.
Residents remain responsible for paying their bills on time. To avoid delays, payments can be made:
· In person at 9909 Franklin Avenue in Fort McMurray.
· At any rural municipal office.
· Through your financial institution.
· Online at rmwb.ca/pay.
Paying your bills online
Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo property taxes, utility bills, bylaw tickets, ambulance invoices and general trade invoices can be paid online by credit card. Use the ‘Get Balance Owing’ feature on the payment page to view your account balance, where supported.
Property tax reminder
Property tax reminders are mailed in August, October and December to property owners with an outstanding balance after June 30, the annual tax due date. To avoid additional penalties, ensure payment is received before the next penalty date. Upcoming penalty dates are November 1, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
