Celebrate Senior’s Week at the Annual Luncheon for Seniors and Elders

Mayor and Councillors invite Elders and community members aged 65 and older to the annual Seniors’ Week Luncheon on June 1 at SMS Equipment Place, Grand Ballroom.

This popular event kicks off Seniors’ Week and celebrates the important contributions seniors and Elders make across the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo region.

·         Date: June 1, 2026

·         Location: SMS Equipment Place, Grand Ballroom, MacDonald Island Park

·         Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Doors open at 11 a.m.)

Registration opens Monday, May 11

There are multiple options for registration, and help is available for those requiring assistance. There is no deadline to register for this event:

Free transportation available for most rural residents

Transportation to and from the event is available for attendees from Anzac, Conklin, Fort McKay, Gregoire Lake Estates and Janvier. Be sure to request transportation when registering.
