Fill your brown bags! Last day for yard waste curbside collection – Oct. 27

Fall is here and with it comes the end of yard waste season!

Up until October 27, you can still place up to four bags of yard waste at the curb each week for collection. Remember to bag all yard waste in brown paper bags and place bags beside your bins before 7:30 a.m. on your collection day.

Drop your yard waste at the landfill for free

If you miss your last collection date or have yard waste after October 27, it can be dropped off at the municipal landfill year-round, seven days a week from 8:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at no charge. All waste must be bagged in brown paper bags and be no heavier than 50 pounds per bag.

Accepted items

The following materials can go in your brown paper yard waste bags for collection or landfill drop off:

  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Flowers
  • Weeds
  • Culled plants
  • Small twigs less than 30 centimetres (12 inches) long

Weather dependant service

Weather permitting, yard waste collections service will continue up until October 27, if we experience heavy snowfall in this time, this date may change. For up-to-date information visit rmwb.ca/yardwaste.
