Holiday spirit on the menu: Free luncheon for Elders and seniors on Nov. 16
Registration open online at rmwb.ca/luncheon or by calling Pulse
The holiday season is almost here and Mayor and Councillors are excited to once again host Elders and community members ages 65 and older at Council’s annual Holiday Luncheon.
Join us on Nov. 16 at the SMS Equipment Place, MacDonald Island Park for an afternoon filled with good food and festive cheer. This much-loved event celebrates the lasting contributions of seniors and Elders to Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.
“This is an event to which we look forward every year, because it gives Council and the Municipality an opportunity to connect with the seniors and Elders of the region and express our appreciation for what they mean to us,” said Mayor Sandy Bowman. “Without our seniors and Elders, we wouldn’t be who we are today – as people or as a region. It really us an honour for us to share this time together with all that attend.”
