Drop your unwanted items at big bin events across the region

Big bin events are great for disposing of household items including large furniture, appliances, renovation materials and electronic waste.

Commercial, construction, animal and household hazardous waste will not be accepted at these events. Big bin events are free but additional fees will apply for select items.

Events will be held from June 8 to 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, including all dates and locations, visit online.

Yard waste pick-up begins May 13

Seasonal yard waste curbside collection will start on May 13, and each week you can place up to four brown yard waste bags alongside your other bins on collection day. Yard waste can also be dropped off for free at the municipal landfill year-round. All yard waste dropped at the landfill must also be in brown paper bags and be under 50 pounds per bag to be free.
