Planning and Development and Engineering Services relocating downtown
Starting October 20, the Planning and Development and Engineering staff and services at Timberlea Landing will be permanently moving to the first floor of the Jubilee Building, at 9909 Franklin Avenue, Fort McMurray.
The relocation will support a more centralized hub for Municipal business, helping improve efficiencies and customer service.
In-person services at Timberlea Landing close Oct. 20 at noon
After October 20 at noon (12:00 p.m.), cashier and drop-in permitting services at Timberlea Landing will no longer be available.
Cashier services, for taxes, bills, transit passes, and licensing purposes, continue to be available at the Jubilee Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Plan ahead for permitting – services available downtown
Drop-in permitting services will be available at the Jubilee Building starting Oct. 23, during regular business hours. Please be mindful that there may be some minor delays in processing times over the next couple of weeks as this transition takes place.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to apply early for permitting. Online services will continue to be available through the e-permitting portal.
Book appointments in advance
The transition of staff and equipment to the Jubilee Building is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. During this time, there will still be staff working at Timberlea Landing while the building is closed to the public. Anyone that needs to meet with Planning and Development and Engineering Services, must make an appointment in advance except for drop-in permitting services that are available at the Jubilee Building.
