RES Incident Report - Gregoire Lakes Estate home destroyed by fire

No injuries were reported from a fire that destroyed a Gregoire Lakes Estate home on Friday afternoon, June 12.

Shortly before 3 p.m., Fort McMurray and Anzac firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on Gregoire Avenue. The first crews on the scene reported that the house was fully involved in fire.

A tanker and several pumper units, as well as paramedics and utility crews responded. Firefighters quickly established a water supply and started suppression efforts to contain the fire. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in less than an hour but remained on the scene until after 5 p.m. to ensure the fire was out.

The home is considered a complete loss, with major smoke, water and fire damage reported. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
