Saprae Creek Estates Community Mailbox
Update: Canada Post has confirmed that a letter carrier will assess the site tomorrow (Oct. 30) to determine if the location is safe and accessible for delivery operations. Service will resume accordingly.
Introduction:
The Saprae Creek Estates community mailboxes were closed on Wednesday, Oct. 28, as a safety precaution while crews assessed the pergola structure and safely removed wet snow from its roof.
Infrastructure Services has removed the awning cover. The space will remain closed while this work is completed. We expect the area to reopen Thursday, Oct. 29, once the work is finished and it is safe for residents to access the area.
The RMWB will be in touch with Canada Post to let them know mail service can resume as soon as the work is complete.
Proposed start and end date:
Oct. 28-29, 2026
Lead Department:
Infrastructure Services
Community Benefit:
Once the immediate work is complete, we will review the design and next steps for rebuilding the roof/cover. A new cover is expected to be installed later in the season.
Special Instructions for Residents:
Residents will be unable to access the mailboxes until the work is complete, which is expected Thursday, Oct. 29.
We understand the inconvenience the closure may cause for residents trying to access their mail, and we appreciate your patience.
