Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station-Spring/Summer 2026

Introduction:

The Municipality has started work on utility restorations and upgrades in your neighborhood. You will see crews working on landscaping restoration, sidewalks and asphalt repairs starting May 2026.

Background:

Construction will involve restoring landscaped areas along the new boulevard space between the curb and sidewalks.

Community Benefit:

As the various phases of construction are finished, roads will be restored and improved. Once complete, underground infrastructure will improve the water supply to the Downtown, as well as all areas in the south of the Urban Service Area.

Construction Impacts:

Driveway interruption

Work in front of driveways will be completed along MacDonald Avenue.

Parking & vehicle access

Some parking will be blocked along MacDonald Avenue through various stages of construction.

Sidewalk closure

Some sections or areas along the sidewalk will be closed or blocked off along Biggs Avenue and Main Street through various stages of construction.

Special Instructions for Residents

Pedestrian and vehicle access in the area will be restricted as necessary. Any restrictions will be planned to minimize access interruptions for residents and businesses in the project area.

 

Roads will be closed as required and detour signs will be in place to provide direction for pedestrians and motorists. Emergency access will always be available. Access to all businesses in the project area will be maintained to ensure business continuity. For your safety, and the safety of construction crews, please keep away from heavy equipment, and follow all signage.
