Introduction:
Annual weed harvesting operations in the Snye Waterway are scheduled to begin on August 1, 2026. The contractor will mobilize and set up the work site on August 1, followed by the weed harvesting activities.

Project Details:
The Snye Weed Harvesting activities involve cutting, collection, hauling and disposal of aquatic vegetation covering approximately 10 hectares of the Snye Waterway in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and municipal standards. The program enhances the safe navigation of float planes and recreational watercraft, support a healthier aquatic ecosystem by minimizing the oxygen depletion rate.

Weed harvesting promotes increased use of recreational activities, supports a healthier ecosystem and improves the overall aesthetic appeal.
Construction Impacts:
A section of the parking lot will be used for loading and unloading activities. Please refer to the map for further details.
Special Instructions for Residents:
Residents are advised to exercise caution and maintain a safe distance from the work area.
