The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) regulates the use and development of land and buildings within the RMWB.
The LUB applies to all land and buildings in the region. Development is done in accordance with the terms and conditions of the bylaw.

Bylaw No. 99/059 of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is consolidated as of August 22, 2017.

Do I need a permit to build a fence? |
No, permits are not required for fences. However, there are regulations surrounding the height of all fences, as well as regulations specific to corner lots. In all residential districts, the maximum height of a fence is:

A development permit and a building permit is required as a sea-can container is considered an accessory structure. |
