Learn about the opportunities and application process at September information sessions
Grant applications are now being accepted for the 2027 Community Investment Program (CIP) grant cycle.
CIP grant opportunities are available for registered non-profits, individuals, teams and groups.
The funding supports programs, projects, services, and events that foster community and social wellbeing, as well as encourage participation in amateur sports. The deadline to apply is Sept. 30 at 4:30 p.m.

Pre-application meetings with the CIP team are strongly encouraged for all applicants. Meetings can be booked from Sept. 2 – 18.

Available grants:
Community Capital Grant – Provides funding to registered non-profit organizations to support the enhancement, development, or renovation of public-use facilities within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Applications for this grant are by invitation only.
Community Impact Grant – Provides funding to registered non-profit organizations to deliver programs, projects and events that improve quality of life for residents in the region through two streams; the Community Programs and Projects stream and the Community Events stream. This year, applicants may apply for one, or both.
Community Sustaining Grant – Provides funding to registered non-profit organizations providing strategic services that align with three or more funding priorities set by Council. Applications are by invitation only.
Games Legacy Grant – Provides funding to support development in amateur sport, and residents competing at the provincial, national, or international level.
