Street Banner Program: Everyday Heroism, Local Legends
Residents 12 years and older are invited to showcase their artistic talents through the Street Banner Program. Selected designs will receive a $600 design fee, a screened banner and the opportunity for their work to be on display in Fort McMurray and throughout the region!
This year’s theme, Everyday Heroism, Local Legends, invites you to create artwork that embodies the spirit of those who make a difference in our everyday lives, through acts of kindness, community service or inspiring achievements.
If you live in Anzac, Janvier, Conklin, Fort McKay or Fort Chipewyan, you can have your designs displayed in your community!
All submissions will be showcased at the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery at MacDonald Island Park from June 22 to July 31, 2026. Artists may pick up their artwork at the municipal office it was dropped off at from August 10 to September 3, 2026.
Submit your artwork by May 21, 2026, at 4 p.m. Learn more at rmwb.ca/Banner.
