Grab your stick! Shootout on the Snye registration is open

Shootout on the Snye is returning to the ice! Four-on-four pond hockey is a classic Canadian tradition, and this is your chance to be part of it and make some WinterPLAY memories.

Register early, save $10

Each team consists of 6 players and all players must register in advance at rmwb.ca/WinterPLAY

• Early bird registration: $40/player by Jan. 21
• Final registration deadline: $50/player by Feb. 2

Youth players (under 18 years of age) must register individually. Balanced teams will be created based on player division and skill level.

Adult players (18+), can register as a team or individually, with the option to select either a competitive or non-competitive team.

All registered players will receive a Shootout on the Snye jersey!

Puck drops Feb. 20

The Shootout on the Snye tournament begins with a ceremonial puck drop on Friday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m. on Feb. 22.

All teams are guaranteed three games over the course of the first two days, with the opportunity to play more during the playoffs on Sunday. Games will be played four vs. four, with a maximum of two substitutes.

Shootout on the Snye is a non-contact tournament for both adults and youth. Players must play safely and responsibly.

Sign up as a referee!

Help make Shootout on the Snye a success by signing up as a referee!

Referees are compensated $25 per 35-minute game.

Additional fundraising opportunities for groups and organizations will also be available throughout WinterPLAY with more details to be shared mid-January.

Enjoy WinterPLAY from Feb. 20-24

The Shootout on the Snye is part of the annual WinterPLAY event, which is one of the biggest community events of the year! There will be all kinds of free family-friendly activities, including fireworks, ice sculptures, horse drawn wagon rides, cultural programming and more!
