2026 Property Tax Notices are in the mail for RMWB property owners

Pay your property tax by June 30 to avoid penalties

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is mailing 2026 property tax notices to all residential and commercial property owners.

Property tax payment must be made or electronically processed by a third-party financial institution by Tuesday, June 30, 2026, to avoid late payment penalties.

The RMWB also offers the Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) for monthly property tax payments for those without taxes included in their mortgage. For the full list of options and payment details, visit rmwb.ca/taxes.

2026 Property Tax Bylaw

RMWB Council approved the 2026 Property Tax Rate Bylaw at their April 28 meeting with no changes to municipal tax rates. The Municipality will collect approximately $519 million in municipal property taxes for this taxation year. Property taxes are used to support the municipal programs and services communities rely on.

Access your tax notice and keep your information up to date

Register online at taxassessment.rmwb.ca to access a copy of your tax notice. If you have recently purchased a home, remember to update your information by submitting a Change of Address form.
