Get into the holiday spirit with festive events throughout the region!
Santa Claus Parade begins at 6 p.m. on Franklin Ave. and Main St.
(Fort McMurray, AB – December 1, 2025) – The Santa Claus Parade starts on Main St., heading south on Franklin Ave. and the parade will end at the corner of Riedel St. and Clearwater Dr.
Check out the parade route map and safety information at rmwb.ca/Santa.
When enjoying the parade, remember to stay on the sidewalk and behind any barricades. Dress for the weather and stick together with your group.
Please follow instructions from officials and volunteers and refrain from crossing the road once it’s been closed. After the parade, please be patient and wait for the road to reopen.
Enjoy a quieter parade experience on the Sensory-Friendly Block
Main Street is designated as a Sensory-Friendly Block for those in need of a quieter, calmer parade experience. During this time, floats and walking groups will turn off their music and sirens.
Vote for your favourite floats!
After the parade, remember to vote for your favourite floats. Community organizations with the best decorated float in each category will receive $1,000, either for their non-profit organization, or a non-profit of their choice.
Voting will open Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. and close at 11:59 p.m.
Council’s Starry Night begins at 5 p.m. at kiyām Park
Join the Mayor and Councillors in celebrating the holiday season! Experience the magic with the tree and tipi lighting ceremony before the parade begins. Sip on hot chocolate, enjoy festive music, and soak in the sparkling lights as we come together in the spirit of joy and community.
Children are invited to bring their letters for Santa’s Mailbox, open until the parade begins at 6 p.m.
