Community gardens create opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors while growing their own fruits, vegetables and flowers. They contribute to the beautification of neighbourhoods and the health and well-being of communities.
RMWB community gardens are created by the Municipality, then planted and maintained annually by volunteer gardeners.

The municipality is fortunate to have a variety of community gardens sprouting up every year. There are RMWB community gardens, school gardens and privately-operated gardens.

If visiting a community garden, enjoy your thyme admiring the plants, but please only look and don't pick anything, unless you're a member of the garden. Pets must be on-leash at all times when at the garden. If viewing from a vehicle, please exercise caution, drive slowly and follow all posted signage.

Interested in participating in an RMWB Community Garden? While many of our garden locations currently have a waitlist, we encourage you to submit an application by clicking below to join the list and be considered as spaces become available.
