Amendment applications are used to request changes to the existing Land Use Bylaw and statutory plans (Area Structure Plan and Area Redevelopment Plan). These changes will be reviewed by Council, and a decision will be either accepted or rejected.

• Book a pre-application meeting with municipal staff through PULSE.
• Complete an Amendment Application Checklist and Form.

Land Use Bylaw 26/001 Section 3.2.2. (x) exempts some permitted uses in prescribed commercial districts from a Change of Use Development Permit. Apply for an exemption online via the E-Permitting portal.

Once you've signed in, navigate to the Planning section and select Change of Use Exemption for Permitted Uses.

You can request a compliance certificate when you want to confirm that the location of developments on a property are located in accordance with the Land Use Bylaw and any development permits on record.

The discharge of caveat application is used to request the RMWB to partially or fully discharge a caveat from the Certificate of Title on one or more properties that are subject to the application.

You may need to apply for event permits based on the location, size, or nature of your event in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
