Introduction:
Construction on Silin Forest Road is coming to an end for the season. The road closure on Silin Forest Road from Thickwood Blvd.to Signal Road re-opened Oct. 25, 2024. The section from Signal Road to Thicket Drive will be open to traffic on Oct. 28, 2025. Crews are in the process of removing traps, fencing, barricades and water bypass pumps. Landscaping and other work will be completed next week to ensure that the work site is safe in time for Halloween. We thank the public for their patience this season.

Project Details/Background
The Thickwood Perimeter Sewer project is a multi-year, multi-phase project to rehabilitate infrastructure in Thickwood. The purpose of this project is to improve the sanitary and storm system, as well as replace and optimize aging assets.
Community Benefit:
This project includes renewed underground infrastructure (water mains, storm sewers, sanitary sewers), new roads and a widened sidewalk on the north side of Silin Forest Road that will provide enhanced pedestrian and active transportation connectivity on the trails at Helen Pacholko Park and near the Rotary gazebo.
