A shed and contents was destroyed and several neighbouring sheds and a fence were damaged in an early morning backyard fire on Caldwell Crescent in Thickwood on June 3.

After two years of construction, the Fort McKay Community Centre was unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration earlier today.

Fort McMurray firefighters were dispatched to Cree Road shortly before midnight, May 27 after a 911 caller reported the back side of a mobile home on fire.  

The FireSmart Home Rebate Program provides grants to eligible homeowners who have received a FireSmart home assessment and have completed the recommended work. Supported by the Municipality and the Canadian Red Cross, the program is available for all communities in the region.
