River breakup is in progress. An Evacuation Alert has been issued for Draper due to the potential of an ice jam flooding event along the Clearwater River. Water levels could impact egress and access on Garden Lane and River Bend Close. Residents in the alert area do not have to leave but should be ready to evacuate on short notice. Until the road’s closure, heavier vehicles up to 45,000 kg will be allowed to use the winter road at night between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m., when temperatures drop. Vehicles heavier than 5,000 kg are not allowed to use the winter road during the day (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and will be subject to fines.
