River breakup is in progress. An Evacuation Alert has been issued for Draper due to the potential of an ice jam flooding event along the Clearwater River. Water levels could impact egress and access on Garden Lane and River Bend Close. Residents in the alert area do not have to leave but should be ready to evacuate on short notice. A development opportunity located in downtown Fort McMurray in the Central Business District is now available for proposals. This 0.54 acre parcel is prominently located on the corner of Franklin Ave. and Morrison St. with immediate access to Highway 63 and zoned for mixed-use development.
Fort McMurray firefighters and fire investigators responded to a serious early morning fire on Fireweed Crescent. No residents were home at the time. One firefighter sustained injuries during the response and was transported to hospital for treatment

These election flyers include details on voter eligibility and ID requirements, dates and locations for voting in advance and on election day, and more.
Due to the Canada Post strike, mail delivery is halted. This will impact the delivery of utility bills, ambulance invoices, general trade invoices and property tax reminders during this period.

The Municipality will be replacing the existing timber pedestrian bridge with a culvert structure along the multi-use trail adjacent to Spruce Valley Drive in the Saprae Creek Community. The replacement is being undertaken due to structural concerns associated with the existing bridge.
