The Municipality is preparing to complete upgrades in your neighbourhood. You’ll see crews and construction activity beginning July 6th, 2026.

Apply to join the Mayor's Advisory Council on Youth (MACOY) if you are entering grade 9-12 this fall.

Last year, MACOY members went on a bus tour around Fort McMurray to learn about municipal
services and meet the people who support those services. This included going to the Material
Recovery Facility, the Regional Emergency Coordination Centre, Transit Station, and the Water
Treatment Plant. MACOY members also participated in mock Council meetings to learn more
about processes in municipal government and volunteered at various events, like igNIGHT and
Santa’s Village.
