With winter around the corner, it’s time to get ready for skating season!
The Community Backyard Rink program makes it easy for you to create temporary ice rinks on municipal property in your neighbourhood, helping families embrace winter safely.
Residents are invited to pick up printed flyers with essential election information at Jubilee Centre (9909 Franklin Ave.) during business hours. The flyers are also available at key locations and local businesses around Fort McMurray.
These election flyers include details on voter eligibility and ID requirements, dates and locations for voting in advance and on election day, and more.
Due to the Canada Post strike, mail delivery is halted. This will impact the delivery of utility bills, ambulance invoices, general trade invoices and property tax reminders during this period.
Residents remain responsible for paying their bills on time.
The Municipality will be replacing the existing timber pedestrian bridge with a culvert structure along the multi-use trail adjacent to Spruce Valley Drive in the Saprae Creek Community. The replacement is being undertaken due to structural concerns associated with the existing bridge.

During advance voting, you can vote at any voting station. On Election Day (Oct. 20), you will need to cast your ballot at a voting station within your ward.
It’s time to vote, RMWB! Advance voting starts Oct. 3, and Election Day is Oct. 20.
Local government doesn’t run itself — your vote helps shape how your community develops.
It also sets priorities for the services that keep it running.
This includes parks, public transit, recreation programs, animal and bylaw services, waste collection, water, and police and fire services.
