Now that the weather has warmed up, summer construction season is in full swing in the RMWB.  This year, the Municipality is continuing to advance several key projects including the completion of the Saunderson Pressure Reducing Station, Conklin Water Treatment Plant upgrades and the Fort McKay Community Centre.

Property owners should watch their mailboxes next week for their 2025 property tax notices. Payment by mail may be interrupted by a Canada Post strike or service interruption, if no agreement is reached between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers by May 22.

Date of Notice: May 15, 2025. Appeal to be filed by: June 5, 2025.

The Wood Buffalo RCMP have announced their 2025–2026 Annual Policing Priorities, developed using input from residents, frontline officers, and regional crime data. These priorities will guide enforcement and prevention strategies over the next year.
