Crews are continuing snow removal operations and getting closer to completing all streets in Fort McMurray.
Subzones 1 and 2 will be active from Jan.26-30 for snow removal operations, with on-street parking restrictions in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Subzones 3 and 4 will be active Feb. 2-6.
Following parking restrictions helps speed up winter maintenance. When a subzone is active, all vehicles must be off the street on your scheduled maintenance day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Do not park back on the street before 6 p.m., even if work appears complete, as crews may need to return.
As of December 2025, $7 million in grant funding has been invested in downtown Fort McMurray through the Downtown Revitalization Incentives Program. This marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to strengthen the downtown core.
Winter maintenance continues across Fort McMurray with crews making steady progress in neighbourhoods and on high-traffic routes.
Subzones 3 and 4 will be active from Jan.19-23 for snow removal operations, with on-street parking restrictions in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Subzones 1 and 2 will be active Jan. 26-30.
