Dredging of the Snye Waterway

Introduction:

This is an annual operation to dredge the sediments deposits at mouth of the Snye to maintain access to the channel.

Background:

The contractor will be setting up fencing at the work site and roadway (to minimize traffic flow) between August 12 to August 16. Access to the boat launches remains open during this time. The actual dredging operation begins on August 19 to August 23 and access will be restricted. The dredged materials will be temporarily placed at Snye point to allow it to dry before it is hauled to the landfill.
